My research focuses on primate cochlear anatomy, mechanics and evolution, combining high-resolution imaging with parametric numerical modelling. By simulating sound propagation in extant and fossil cochleae, I investigate how structural variation shapes tonotopy and hearing range, uncovering mechanical design principles and lineage-specific specialisations with implications for evolutionary biology and auditory biomechanics.
